Cool Post Any Random Picture - Part 6

New year, new thread, new pictures - including pictures of termini of odd-numbered mainline "interstate" highways that go through only one state!

Here's the southern terminus of Arizona's Interstate 17, in Phoenix, during a heavy traffic jam!

I like roads as much as you (if not more), but I'm going to post something else here. Starting with Eileen Heckart and John Gerstad in "Up the Down Staircase," which I brought up on another thread.

I'm not really into women with her look, but something about this girl from a 1956 intermission trailer for Dr. Pepper kind of intrigues me. And I haven't liked Dr. Pepper in over 30 years.

And here's the southern terminus of Interstate 27 in Lubbock, where, as Mike Stivic found out when he tried to call a local number in Queens, a truckload full of live chickens crashed and sent the birds all over the highway!

When I heard him say, "What? A truckload of live chickens all over Interstate 27?", I laughed so hard I fell off the floor, because I knew Interstate 27 was in Texas and in Texas only.

I know that there's an Interstate 41 superimposed on the original U.S> 41 in Wisconsin, but that was just a trick by mass-transit-hating, highway-loving governor Scott Walker to get more federal highway money for his stat, so I refuse to acknowledge it! So - onto another interstate highway in WIsconsin - I-43!
