Default The Thanksgiving/Christmas thread

Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away from now, and am wondering if anyone has plans for the holidays.

For Christmas, what I really want this year are new computer speakers and of course, a portable charger for my iPhone.

Thanksgiving on the other hand, will be the usual. Just a nice meal at home with my parents.

Cool

Veteran's Day: Attending the ceremony Port Orange holds (In my county we RESPECT this holiday, schools are closed so children may attend the ceremony or do what they and/or parents desire to do). Attend a luncheon at a VFW post and eat SOS (The "shingle" will be a Tortilla) for supper

Thanksgiving: Eating with friends and watching the Macy's Parade and Football games.

The weekend after Thanksgiving to the weekend before Christmas: Watching parades or attending concerts and Christmas parties and my Church's Toy Drive. arty:

Christmas: Opening gifts from relatives, then eating with Friends.

Boxing Day: watching a Rocky movie.

January 3: Ordering the gifts "From Me to Myself" from Amazon.

January 6: Opening the Gifts from me to myself, then eating either Turkey or Rib Roast.

January 7: Dismantling the Christmas decorations

Third Monday of January: Eat cheese and wash it down with a glass of wine, then watch my "Homemade DVD" Song of the South.

The reason why I don't watch the Macy's parade anymore is because all of the performances are lip synched.

Thanksgiving at my sister's house and Christmas at my daughter's. We do the same thing every year since 2011. I like this because they do all of the cooking . Of course we all help out by bringing some of the side dishes. I am always on pumpkin pie detail.

Thanksgiving Dinner at my oldest niece's house, then a bunch of us family are going up to Leavensworth, WA from Friday thru Sunday. We don't make it up there every year, but we did make it up there last year.

Christmas Eve were visiting with my wife's side of the family, then Christmas Day, my side. We alternate years on doing this.

Everyone in my family congregates to my parent's house to celebrate Thanksgiving. I come from a large Irish family so you can imagine the chaos and fun times

Christmas is spent with my parents

Sorry about that...

I think I'm going to my sister's on Thanksgiving and Festivus (12/23). On Christmas Eve, I'll be be going to church and my aunt's house in either Ravenna, Ohio or my other aunt in Old Brooklyn...but Christmas Day...is there any Bowling Allies open that day? Because it looks like a sequel to my last Christmas!...And last Christmas was the WORST Christmas I ever had!

But I only want this for Christmas...a DNA Testing Kit...I know I'm 100% American, but I'd like to know where my traits are....
