Nothing romantic about holiday solely created by candy makers to up their sales.

I didn't even know it was Sweetest day till I saw this thread. My Hubby got me breakfast from McDonald's earlier. But I don't think that was for Sweetest day, like me he didn't even know it was!

It's more of a regional holiday, mostly celebrated in the Great Lakes Region...

I've never even heard of Sweetest Day. I, usual, am by myself, for Sweetest Day.

Don't feel bad about it, being alone has advantages, I live alone too. I have freedom and can do what I want every day, no one here to bother me. I do have a pet dog which provides me with a little company. Dogs and cats are the best companions because once they bond with you, they remain loyal for life. All they want is a good home, be treated with love and be provided with food to eat and water to drink. Unlike human relationships that will break up at the snap of a finger because one person decides that they're done with the other.

I don't have a sweetie unfortunately.

One of these two, I wish!

Oh No

I don't have anyone to call my sweetheart...

I'd love to since I'm gonna be 35 real soon... because if I don't have anyone by the age of 40, I can forget about having a family...

LOL, I offered to be your sweetie but you rejected me and said no.

Story of my life. The women I like don't want me, and those who like me I don't want.

I had a girlfriend up until a few years ago, I treated her well and tried to do all the right things, but it still wasn't enough, after 12 years with me she decided she wanted to leave and go be with another man. After a few attempts of talking to her to see if she'd change her mind, I realized I was wasting my time so I told her to pack up her junk and move out.

So now I'm single again, it does get lonely at times but I'm making the best with my situation. I have my freedom and can do what I want every day, no one here to bother me except for my pet dog. Life could be worse, at the current time I'm doing OK and I'm thankful for what I have.
