Over the years, the 2007 anthology Trick r Treat has become my favorite Halloween themed horror movie. I think it captures the atmosphere of Halloween better than any other (and yes that includes John Carpenter's classic, which I do love)

I've shared this before, but this is the Sam figure my daughter made me for my last birthday. Sam appears during Halloween to make sure everyone follows the rules of the holiday.

This is the very first appearance of Sam, from the 1996 animated short Season's Greetings:

It's a horrible time of year. EVERYTHING is pumpkin flavored.

Pumpkin spice pizza is going too far......

LOL, I don't like Halloween either. When I was a kid, I never wanted to go trick or treating at Halloween time, even back then I didn't like the concept, going around wearing a weird costume, knocking on strangers doors expecting them to give out free candy.

Fortunately it seems that trick or treating isn't as popular these days, many people now arrange Halloween parties so the kids can have their fun.

Right. The concept of forcing your kid to dress like a princess and go around the neighborhood begging for food. And the trick or treat threat of if they don't give you anything, there's gonna be trouble.
