I mostly watched Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Sesame Street (pre 1998 episodes), Barney and Friends (pre 1997 episodes), Lamb Chop's Play Along, Shining Time Station, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Magic School Bus, Arthur, Wishbone, Reading Rainbow, Zoboomafoo, Zoom (1999 version), Cyberchase

I was too old for Dragon Tales and Clifford when they came out although sometimes I watched them anyway because I didn't have cable and there was nothing else to watch.

I also liked the news programs back in the day NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Nightly Business Report, Washington Week, Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser, McLaughlin Group. Some of those are still on today but are nowhere near as good as they were back then.

Gosh, I didn't even have access to a PBS affiliate until I was well into my mid-teens, so I never really developed any kind of nostalgic connection to the network or its programs. I guess the first series on the network that I started catching regularly was their "Matinee at the Bijou" program in the early 1980s, which featured a variety of old b-films, serial chapters, and short subjects. I particularly remember the serials "Junior G-Men," "Don Winslow of the Navy" and "The Phantom Empire" being run as a part of the series.

PBS didn't exist until June 1970. Prior to PBS, NET existed, but there was very little kids' programming on NET.

Sesame Street and Mister Rogers both launched in the late 60s. I remember a show called "Sing, Children, Sing," mostly folk music, that I think was usually shown during school hours.
