It is scary.

I have 2 nieces and a great-niece in Florida. My oldest niece wasn't allowed to evacuate because of the hospital she works at. My other niece, I'm not sure if she evacuated or not. I hope so.

My heart goes out to all of those affected and in the path of Hurricane Irma.
I know it's not realistic, but I wish the hurricanes would stop.

I went through Hurricane Harvey and that was scary. I didn't like the experience at all. I am very grateful and lucky that I didn't lose my home and that I didn't have to go to a shelter. I was still extremely nervous and on edge.

Gonna be emailing my friend later on today (hopefully she replies) and will be asking her if the oldest daughter and grandsons are okay.

I've returned. Only a few branches to clean up and I didn't lose power, but some STOLE my generator! (I did make a police report). But I'm glad to be back.

Glad you are back and safe. And very good you didn't have property damage! Sorry about your generator being stolen, hoping you get it back. But again very glad you are safe and well!!

We didn't get the hurricane, but remnants of Harvey did come near us. It was only heavy rain though.

Glad Regulus is ok. I did hear that the hurricane actually was downgraded from a 4 to a 2 but it was still bad.

The hurricane wasn't downgraded until it went through much of Florida. I have a friend in Naples which was one of the hardest hit. I haven't heard from her yet. I'm pretty sure she's safe but have no clue as to her property damage.
