Default Brexit negotiations turn nasty

The negotiations involving the terms of the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union following the referendum on 23 June 2016, when 52% voted to leave, have turned acrimonious after their negotiating position on the preconditions to a deal has stalled. I quote George Galloway's view on the whole deal, which may seem blunt but is at least direct, and should avoid the cost of years of legal bills emanating from the perpetual squabbling the whole process has engendered. https://youtu.be/N-XrXkC2Xok

Some problems which may prove insurmountable: how do you keep free trade and still restrict immigration numbers, how do you police the Northern Ireland border with the Republic if there's a hard Brexit, and how do you justify a 100 billion divorce bill when the grounds on which this calculation is based are shaky? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entr...b0dfaafcefa057

We are now told that Ireland has a de facto veto over the Brexit negotiation process. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...cid=spartanntp

This despite the fact how much the UK has contributed to its coffers since it joined the club. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...ince-1973.html

In a deal where all details have not yet been settled the United Kingdom will retain tariff-free access to the large European Union market upon payment of a 40 billion divorce bill, with guarantees to coalition partner and largest political party in Northern Ireland, the DUP, that its status within the United Kingdom remains unchanged. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/news...cid=spartanntp

It looks as if the Brexit trade deal may not include the all important financial services sector, if hardline chief negotiator Michel Barnier has his way. In the light of this it has been mooted that citizens of the UK have a second referendum to decide whether we still wish to proceed, given that Parliament may well vote against the deal put to it in 2019. https://youtu.be/rmMoI7AhiO8

The British government is beset with more problems as the personal ambition of Boris Johnson to succeed Theresa May outweighs any consideration of national unity and both Brexiteers and Remainers find a compromise impossible to reach. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...cid=spartandhp

The suspicion remains that the Government will not get the deal it needs from the EU to satisfy its own backbenchers. https://youtu.be/Lhr2bFZdddo

Some may argue that former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair has a nerve talking about Cabinet government in the present administration: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entr...3D740069172_uk

when if you follow the links to the Iraq Chilcot Inquiry it becomes clear that senior Cabinet figures were marginalized in the rush to war over Iraq. https://youtu.be/h5DH-DAjgaU

As the UK has found you won't get many concessions from the European Union as a new trade war looms with the US. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/news...cid=spartanntp

The poshest man in Europe and one of the few principled politicians left sets out his stall calmly and concisely: https://youtu.be/762FV5DYmbI

Meanwhile the hand of the European Union extends to collapsing a legitimate government: https://www.ft.com/content/940ad83e-...2-9563a0613e56
