Oh No Is it me or...is 2017 worse?

We all know 2016 eats, but...

With the celebrity deaths (Mary Tyler Moore, Glen Campbell, and now Jerry Lewis), the division of America, and everything in between...is 2017 just bad...or is it me?

I already know my church is changing...but not for the better, this will be my first full year without a mother, and I have high doubts that I'll be going out on Labor Day Weekend....

...am I going insane, or has 2017 look like a wasteland?

Things will get worse before they get better.

They'll never get better...at least for me... I can't even get a haircut today since a college barbershop thinks I have lice!

I might as well do the haircut myself by going bald! **** My Life!

Yes I was reminded of TS Eliot's Gerontion. I suppose we must take pleasure in the simple things of life.

I'm planning on making a short story called The Divided States of America where it starts in 2026 but the real story is in 2050. The hero is Mike, his friend is Timothy "Tiger" Roberts, the heroine is Amy, and the villain is Dr. Al Louis Natty (Many call him Dr. N).

It may be controversial when done, but I'll post it someplace when it is....

Yes, things look bad but there have always been bad times. I remember my grandma asking,"How can anybody bring another child into this world?" And that was in the 50's! There was a lot of turmoil in the 60's too. Race riots, the Cuban Missie crisis, The Viert Nam War and three assassinations. John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy. Then in 1969 there was the Manson murders That really freaked me out! But also one month after that my first child was born.. Some people say that 1968 was a terrible year. It just depends on how you look at things. In 1968 I graduated from high school, got engaged , got married and The Detroit Tigers won the World Series! It was a great year for me! So I guess it's up to the individual how he feels about things. I am an optimist and believe things will work out. God is running the show . So I try to put my faith and trust in Him. I try hard not to worry about things out of my control.

Like the TV show says::

"You take the good, you take the bad, and there you have the Facts of life"

It is what is is and you live, learn and love and make the best of it!!!

Beautifully said, Marlene

I truly believe life is what you make of it. Sometimes the bad times are actually a blessing in disguise; it makes a person appreciate the good times even more.

2017 has been a mixed year for me. I have dealt with certain health issues and my mom (whom I am very close) has been sick, but that is the part of life. You take the bad with the good, and I tend to focus on the good

Oh No 2017 IS the worst year ever...

I can forget that I have fickle friends, I can forget how much my church is deteriorating, I can forget what's going on in the U.S., I can even forget the celebrity deaths...

But I can't forget the reason my mom isn't here anymore... I know she died almost a year ago, but that took a toll on my year... I don't even want to do anything until 2018...
