Default High Noon

Back when I was in the habit of harping on the third-season episode "Samantha's Protest", one thing that I did quite a bit of was comparing the circumstances of that episode to episodes of other shows. My favorite comparison was that episode to the "Brady Bunch" episode called the "Snooperstar". The main thing that I would say that these two episodes had in common was that they featured a character with ambition that had no place to go. I would say that Katie from this show and Cindy from that show were very similar in this regard. Well, a female poster whom I used to correspond with quite regularly told me that she followed my logic in this respect. She then went on to tell me that she thought that the "Brady Bunch" episode "Juliet is the Sun" was also similar to "Samantha's Protest" in a way. In her way of thinking they were similar in that they both featured a female character who was very full of herself and developed a very snotty personality. Well, in the past, I have written about a local channel here in New Jersey that shows syndicated episodes of a lot of classic shows. These shows include "Happy Days" "Laverne and Shirley" and "Mama's Family". Well, on Sunday from noon until 2 o'clock, they show episodes of the "Brady Bunch". I decided to watch the first one before moving on to the next activity. Sure enough, it was "Juliet is the Sun". Seeing it brought back a lot of pleasant memories of my interactions with my friend!

Your posts are always so confusing and hardly ever make sense.

Whether something makes sense is all in the eye of the beholder. Now as far as the confusing aspect of this, I will try to put it in words that I think you can understand. First, let us look at "Samantha's Protest". Katie spent the bulk of this episode giddy over the handsome boy from the protest. She worked her butt off trying to get him to ask her out and got nowhere. This is where we come to having ambition that has no place to go. I have compared this situation to situations on other shows that have had episodes with characters with ambition that had no place to go. These shows have included The Brady Bunch, the Honeymooners and Silver Spoons. The Brady Bunch episode that I have compared it to is the "Snooperstar". A female poster who befriended me has mentioned "Juliet is the Sun". In her opinion, this episode was also similar to "Samantha's Protest" in a way. I ended by saying that I watched that "Brady Bunch" episode at noon today. I hope that this has helped to clear things up for you.
