My dog and three cats always stare at me, follow me, or when they bark/meow when it's time and it's often.

I know my cats are hungry when they start knawing at our shoelaces or our shoes. They sometimes do that. I also know when
they constantly meow at us.

umm...it kinda helps to have a pet for this topic. but i don't. but i used to have a birdee...that flew away *sighs*...and he'd start chirping really loudly when he was hungry or when ppl went by his cage he's start picking the cage in hopes of escaping, and like coming to attack us...

Hey how about considering getting a new pet? Like a paper bird! They're very clean!

I know when my dog is hungry because she picks
her bowl up in her mouth and clashes in against
the ground. I think she purposely makes a racket
to get attention.

omg, I did that once with a pet rabbit I had
when I was 8. I still feel guilty about that.
It was a cute little floppy ear bunny....
I wasn't ready for the responsibility of a pet
at that age. Now I have 2 dogs and a cat.
I haven't killed them yet. haha...j/k.
I was just too young when I got the rabbit.
