Exclamation Kathy Griffin in Hot Water over Decapitated Trump Photo

Kathy Griffin Posts Apology for Gory Trump Photo Shoot
by LA Times Staff
May 30, 2017

After widespread condemnation, comedian Kathy Griffin issued an apology on social media Tuesday for a photo of herself holding a severed head in the likeness of President Trump.

"I beg for your forgiveness," Griffin says in a 30-second video posted on social media. "I went too far."

That didn't smooth things over with Trump, though, who responded to the stunt on Twitter Wednesday morning, calling it "sick!"

Griffin's “New Year's Eve Live” co-host Anderson Cooper tweeted that he found the display "disgusting," and CNN released a statement as well, saying:

"We found what she did disgusting and offensive. We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down. We are evaluating New Year’s Eve and have made no decisions at this point."

Now that you can see the end game of Trump Derangement Syndrome, is it a pretty picture? We Trump supporters knew this was coming a long time ago. When you irrationally hate someone, and dehumanize them in your hatred, eventually you are going to go over the line. As you have no human feelings for them. Remember this, as you call Trump every name in the book.

CNN Fires Kathy Griffin from New Year's Eve Program
by Sadie Gennis
May 31, 2017

It's the end of an era. After 10 years co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast, the network has cut Kathy Griffin from the program.

"CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year's Eve program," the network announced on Twitter Wednesday.

I'll always despise Trump, but I would never want him to be physically harmed in any way.
Get over yourself.

And so many of the non-Trump supporters are violent and just psychotic liars anyway and then they turn around and blame him for what they are doing. I don't support Trump, but I certainly don't despise him. Usually people who say things online about Trump that they would/wouldn't do are just liars. Just my two cents.

Kathy Griffin deserved to get fired. What she did was hideous, disgusting and uncalled for. I'm glad that Anderson Cooper and CNN dumped her.

I saw some pretty horrendous things of Obama and Clinton too, including a lynching of Obama. None of it is cool.

Personally, I am glad she got fired. She is wrong.

Agreed. I don't think she even deserved to be on CNN to begin with and she's despicable.

What was she thinking really, did she not expect to get such a huge backlash, remember when Sinead O'Connor ripped up a picture of the Pope on SNL? that pretty much shut the door on her career.

Oh No

I think Donald Trump is the worst president ever...but I would NEVER swoop as low as Kathy Griffin did!

Many still say GWB is the worst president ever and still blame him over a lot...but no one really destroyed GWB in his first year....

And I only know a few people who like Trump...and no one, not even me like him...but we'd only talk about it that's it....
