Default So I've been very sick

Thank you for the messages asking where I have been. Since February I have been battling a variety of illness. I had a kidney infection, and a liver illness and a gall bladder infection and strep and Erythrodermic psoriasis and arthritis. I've been in and out of the hospital and lost over 30 pounds. I just lost my mom in January and my dad was terrified he would lose me because for weeks I couldn't eat (I threw up everyday). I couldn't work or attend school (I returned for a second masters) and was running high fevers on and off. I'm feeling better and hopefully it's over.

Thank you, both of you. I was scared, but figured things would get better. I was really scared when they mentioned my liver but it healed.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing better and hope that the worst is indeed over.

I too have had some health issues. My gallbladder was removed in February due to infection (no gallstones) and I have a strict diet to follow as my cholesterol and liver counts are high.

My recent blood also revealed a low thyroid and doc put me on levothyroxine. I assumed I was feeling tired (fatigued) as an effect of the surgery, but it turns out this was it.

Glad you're doing better. They were so convinced I needed my gallbladder out that they sent me to pre surgery sonograms and things like that. Turns out it wasn't it at all, but something else. I've been talking to people about gallbladders and they said it is common to have it removed so just when I was used to having it removed I didn't need to. Of course doesn't mean I won't have to in the future, just not now.

Glad to hear you're doing better. It's so rough when you're sick and having to go back & forth to the doctor so they can figure out what's wrong with you.
