I remember going to Woolworth's when I was younger and hanging w/ my friends at the soda fountain while the adults shopped. It must have closed sometime in the early 1990s and I don't recall going to any other stores/pharmacies having a counter.

Are these still around today in other areas?



There is this neat place that opened in Downtown Brooklyn around 2010 called Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain that's made to look like the old lunch counters from "back in the day".

(They aren't a pharmacy and can't legally call themselves one)
