Death Race 2050 '17 (In the year 2050 the planet has become overpopulated, to help control population the government develops a "Death Race." Annually competitors race across the country scoring points for killing people with their vehicles.

Manu Bennett, Malcolm McDowell, Anessa Ramsey, Yancy Butler

This is a direct sequel/reboot of the original 1975 film. Though I like the remake trilogy, this one goes back to being about running over pedestrians for points, wild characters, crazy cars, and satire.)

Secret in Their Eyes (2015) via Showtime-on-Demand

A police officer's daughter is raped and murdered and the #1 suspect is a confidential informant from a terror cell operating out of a mosque.

The officer's closest allies face a lot of problems when the higher ups think that the terror cell is more important than 1 murder and choose not to go after him.

The film is an American remake of the 2009 Argentinian film El Secreto de sus Ojos.

The director Juan Josť Campanella was executive producer on the American version.
