for our family get-together dinners, everyone just brings a dish or two, whoever is hosting just makes the main course turkey or ham, and anyone that doesn't cook brings deserts or pop or snacks.

usually everyone gets to take a plate or two home and everyone is happy.

That won't ever happen to me again. If my mom is not cooking I am buying my own damm dinner lol

Yes I am having a nice holiday weekend filled with sports, seafood, and pie. lol I have moved on from friday night


She told everyone to bring what they like to drink. Then when I walk in the door my cousin is all aggressive asking where is the money and I see no food in sight and wanted to say......"where the feck is the food?

Yeah, I've never heard of bringing your own drinks to a Christmas Party. I've been to parties where 1 or 2 family members bring cases of soda or something similiar for everybody.
