Did you know that The Monkees won an Emmy Award for Outstanding comedy series in 1967?

John Lennon called The Monkees "The Marx Brothers of Music.

I haven't actually seen a Smokey The Bear ad for a long time. If I had I'm sure I would have recognized Sam's voice!

Something else I hadn't noticed until recently is that actor George Hamilton is playing Colonel Sanders in the KFC commercials.

DYK . . . that paper can be recycled only six times. After that, the fibers are too weak to hold together. On the other hand, aluminum can be recycled forever.

Different actors and comedians are playing the Colonel in the KFC commercials, including Rob Lowe.

I heard Ray Liotta of Goodfellas fame was Colonel Sanders too...

And if he was still with us, Robin Williams probably would have been Colonel Sanders too... what would that be like?

Default DYK

Clive Barker described the Cenobites as having a sweet vanilla-like smell omitted from them when they appear in the novella The Hellbound Heart.

He based their appearance on punk rockers, Roman Catholic cassocks, and S&M wardrobe he saw club-goers wearing in NYC and Amsterdam.

DYK that Jeri Ryan's 1st Borg suit was Hellraiser-like..to wear. It was very tight everywhere, especially her neck (the collar made her pass out several times). This other suit posed no such problem.

DYK . . that it turns out ONE single company, Luxottica, controls most of
outlets where you buy eyeglasses and regulates the cost.
Luxottica designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails its eyewear brands, including LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Apex by Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical, Eyemed vision care plan, and Glasses.com. Its best known brands are Ray-Ban, Persol, and Oakley.
Luxottica gives the illusion that you have a choice.
