Little improvements:

Hillbillies-Beaver-Beaver in the morning is probably a little improvement over Petticoat Junction-Hillbillies-Hillbillies.
I've never been a huge Gunsmoke fan, but might watch some of the 30 minute episodes.
Macgyver at 5 is more interesting than Emergency.

I'm thinking there might be some blowback here from Heroes and Icons (same owners as Me) acquisition of all of the Star Trek series, which take up five ours a night on H&I. Mannix was removed from H&I when the Star Treks came on, Ironside would have a very similar audience, and you have to wonder what MacGyver is doing on the schedule between Andy Griffith and Hogan's Heroes.

The late Sunday night schedule is just very strange: there's a dozen best comedy Emmys among the seven shows listed above, every one is a legitimate classic, and yet they're limited to one inconvenient showing a week. All I can figure is that they're close to maxing out their rights to show them or something, but why push them deeper and deeper into Sunday night?

I feel the same way. It's already bad enough as it is but now they're pushing it back an hour. I can remember when MeTV used to show these shows five times a week in primetime but now they're just being disrespected. Maybe they want to give the new show a decent slot, but I've never heard of the Night Stalker and according to Wikipedia it only lasted 20 episodes.

Night Stalker was like a mystery/horror fusion, so I guess they figure it fits in with Columbo as a mystery. That leaves MASH between the two mystery shows, although I think that's sometimes preempted when they have a 2-hour Columbo.

What turned out to be the pilot for the Night Stalker was a pretty sensational TV movie back in the early 70s.

I actually like the Sunday night changes. I never got into The Honeymooners, so I'll probably tune in starting at 11:30 with The Odd Couple up until Taxi or Get Smart goes off.

Yep, along with a couple of other shows expiring. Just my speculation, but I strongly believe shows like Small Wonder, Mr. Belvedere, Newhart & Evening Shade will be expiring in January.

Aww! I like McHale's Navy! I didn't watch it that much, but when I did I really like it! Leave it to Beaver too, but that isn't leaving TV just moving! But 8AM !!! I liked it on Antenna at 10AM. That was a better time slot for me! Oh well, such is life !
