Unhappy Update on my Gallbladder Surgery

I have an inflamed gallbladder. Docs had to drain all of the bile out and I have a tube attached at my side that will be removed later on. I then have another hospital stay coming up within 4 weeks of discharge to remove the gallbladder. They couldn't do it right away due to the infection. Then I have a final outpatient procedure for them to remove the stem they inserted during the endoscopy. As of now I'm waiting for my team of docs to get back to me on this mornings blood count and to see if I'm ready for discharge. I had my first solid food today which was great.

I was wondering where you were, usually you're posting in the movie section. Hope you feel better, man. And get back to watching some horror flicks for Oct!

Really sorry to hear that. I know from experience how horrific the drainage tubes are. I hope you make a very speedy recovery.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better. I hope your upcoming surgery goes fine.

I spent 5 days in the hospital six years ago because of all the gal stones that were in my gal bladder and bile duct. I was very sick. I didn't know it at the time, but I had started to go into liver failure. I developed pancreastis. I had two surgeries while in the hospital and suffered a complication during one of the surgeries. The amount of pain I was in, was crazy. i couldn't keep any food down (prior to going into the hospital).

Get well.
