I'm waiting for an onslaught of snow coming tomorrow. Have to run to the pharmacy in the afternoon to pick up my insulin and then get groceries before it hits, as I don't think I'll be leaving my apartment for a couple of days.

It was a comfortable 60 degrees here on Thursday; dropped to low 30s Friday, and has been in the 20s since. Really odd.

Warm: mid-70s, clear skies (after a dense fog in the morning) an absolutely lovely day

I was looking forward to Storm Stella, and went grocery shopping the night before to get a bunch of goodies and the fixins to cook a nice dinner. Turns out we didn't get much snow in our area.
What we did get was a nice fat power outage. Everything went out yesterday morning around 10am and stayed out until 9pm last night.

So, we spent yesterday in bed freezing. It was barely 20 degrees. No heat, tv, radio, internet; just each other, which is a pretty nice thing.

That sounds awful! All those hours without power. Nothing to do, Barely 20 degrees? No thank you. I'm sorry you and Lou were in bed freezing. When I read this post hte other day I didn't see the third line; "So we...

I don't know what I would do if i were stuck with no heat for that many hours and it being that cold. I had to go to extremes (to stay warm) while in the dorm at college because they keep the a/c in the 60's and we didn't have access to it.

It's in the low 80's today, feels like summer instead of the first day of spring.

It is rather cold right now, at only 1 degree Celsius. You can tell though that spring (well, the kind of spring we have here in northern Sweden) now has come for real.
