Biggrin Portuguese Clam Chowder

I just finished a batch of homemade Portuguese Clam Chowder and it tastes GREAT!

What's that, you never heard of Portuguese Clam Chowder? I'm sure you most likely know this chowder by its euphemistic nickname, Manhattan Clam Chowder. Believe it or not it was the Portuguese who invented this recipe.

Southwest Chicken Wrap (At Calamity Jane's) for dinner.

And just now some homemade cheese crackers my daughter and niece made.

Just to let everyone know the recipe I used to make the chowder was one I downloaded from food.com (Isn't the Internet wonderful?). Being a homemade recipe it beats the out of any store-bought chowder. I've been told this chowder goes good with cheddar biscuits, which I also have a recipe for as well as the ingredients for it (The food pantries I go to have been VERY generous this month with Bisquick, Cheddar Cheese, Powdered Milk, Clams, Diced Tomatoes, Russet Potatoes and even Seafood Broth). I just had to get the veggies I didn't get from the pantries (Onions, Celery and Poblano Peppers) and I already have the herbs, so putting it all together was a snap. Tomorrow I'll make the biscuits.
