Really regret rendezvousing with the sequels (mostly written by co-author, who..well..ain't no Arthur C. Clarke). But, the original book is still amazing - like Rama.

A 1979 book called James Herriot's Yorkshire, written by that famous British veterinarian (has plenty of pictures of the various settings in his books and the surrounding areas thereof, and the settings are very well described in words as well; my sister got me this for Christmas)

That is one of my brother's favorite books. I have to say that it didn't leave any big impression on me though.
