I figured Toronto would dispose of Texas fairly easily. Texas might have won the most games in the AL during the season, 95, but that's misleading because they were actually the weakest of the 5 AL teams that made the playoffs. The wild card Orioles are better than the Rangers.

Not surprised that Cleveland eliminated Boston, but I am surprised they swept them in 3 games. That I didn't expect.

The ALCS between Cleveland Indians & Toronto Blue Jays have been set. I'm predicting that NLCS will possibly feature either Chicago Cubs vs Washington Nationals or Los Angeles Dodgers vs Chicago Cubs.

I made it to the end of Cubs-Giants last night (2:45 AM my time), but I'm paying for it this morning.

I shut it off after the Giants failed to score in the 9th inning. I figured I'll find out in the morning who won the game. I was a little surprised to find out San Fran won in 13 innings, but in a way it was to be expected, Giants aren't going down without a fight. But I still think the Cubs are going to prevail.

Giants don't have a strong offense but their hitters don't often strike out and usually put the ball in play, that's what makes them tough.

The Bengals are worse! I love the way they rolled over and died last week against my Cowboys. That was fun to watch.

Which brings me back to baseball.

Now that the Blue Jays have removed that vile Odor from their backs, they move on to face the Cleveland Indians, which may seem less attractive for their fans than a chance to meet the hated Boston Red Sox, but for the new management, it's like a dream come true:

Shapiro, Atkins set for showdown for Indians

I'm not sure who I would personally want to see in the World Series but, from a Canadian perspective, I wouldn't mind facing the Washington Nationals because they used to be the Montreal Expos and this may be the closest we'll ever get to a Toronto-Montreal World Series. Thanks, Bud!!
