Well, Lester ended the season with a 2.44 ERA. Hendricks ended with a 2.13 ERA. And Arrieta ended with a 3.10 ERA. So yes that tells me he's lost some effectiveness. I also see that Arrieta threw 16 wild pitches during the season, that's a lot of wild pitches, could be a problem. I see now why Arrieta dropped to 3rd in the rotation. But the regular season is over, it's post season time and now it all comes down to performance.

First of all I respect the true Mr. Cub Ernie Banks. I'm satisfied with Mr. CubbyBear. (Since I am a Cubs and Bears fan) Arrieta's performance this year was not as effective as last year but still is effective. The reason why Lester and Hendricks is 1 and 2 is because they are pretty much unbeatable at home this year. Lester is 10-2 with an 1.74 ERA and Hendricks is 9-2 with 1.32 ERA. Arrieta is a better away pitcher this year going 11-3 ERA is high though with a 3.59 I'm not going to complain anyway Joe Maddon wants to do it its fine with me.

Giants had the Cubs on the ropes in the early innings of game 1 with chances to score runs, but let them off the hook. I can't believe the Giants fell for that trick pickoff play, that was stupid.

Giants offense is anemic/miserable/atrocious, no one in the lineup hits for consistent power, I'm actually surprised now that they managed a good enough record to qualify for the playoffs. This Giants team is nowhere near as dangerous as their three recent world series teams.

So after further evaluation, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs swept the Giants in 3 games. The other three playoff series are going pretty much as I expected so far.

The playoffs just started, but as it looks right now, the Cubs shouldn't have much trouble advancing to the world series. If they get there, I think the team that would present them the most challenge is Toronto, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up playing Cleveland, the Cubs and Cleveland are the teams that have gone the longest time without winning a world series. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

You know things are going good when in 2 games the Cubs pitchers have more RBI's then the entire Giants lineup.

Giants have a weak offense, they got away with it in the 1st half of the season but it caught up with them in the 2nd half.

Oh No

The Indians will have to wait until tomorrow to see if they'll be in the ALCS! The game got rained-out.

I think the Cleveland Indians should play the Cleveland Clowns in football...and the Indians would win!

Cleveland probably going crazy. The Cavs won the NBA Championship and the Indians are good. Are they used to that??
