Default Ya ever noticed on some channels now

I was just thinking about this a few days ago. Most of the classic channels that used to show old shows are hardly showing old shows anymore. Did that make any sense?

For example, Scifi- they used to have a bunch of old shows, but now they have only a few oldies and they are making their own new shows to go on the channel.

Cartoon Network is another example in a way. I wish we had some more channels that stuck to old shows, and left the thinking up new shows for another channel. I wonder why they do that. So annoying

Don't you guys have Boomerang in the States? It's available on digital satalite in the UK and it shows nothing but old cartoons 24/7. Here's a taster of some of the stuff they have on their current schedule -

The Snorks
Scooby Doo
The Flintstones
Dastardly & Muttley
Top Cat
Captain Caveman & The Teen Angels
Wacky Races
Josie & The Pussycats
Hong Kong Phooey
The Jetsons
The Pink Panther
SnagglePuss
Yogi's Treasure Hunt
The Smurfs

How's that for classic toons?!

I agree on Sci Fi..the only classic shows they still air are "Dark Shadows", "Voyage to the Bottem of the Sea", "The Land of the Giants", "Star Trek", "The Twilight Zone", & sometimes "The Outer Limits" 60s Style. And most of them air in the morning.

Turner South used to air "Mayberry RFD", "Gilligan's Island", "The Courtship of Eddie's Father", "Please Don't Eat the Daises", & "The Man From UNCLE" pretty regularly. Now all that airs is "Gilligan's Island", with a little bit of 'Eddie's Father' thrown in. And sometimes (Once a month) they air 'Eat the Daisies'

Nick @ Nite still airs classic shows, but not as much. All they air now is "The Cosby Show", "Cheers", "Family Ties", "All in the Family"....and that other show they exclude from their promos. I forogt it's name...wait, it's called "Three's Company" Hehehe

TNN used to show such classics as "WKRP in Cincinnati", "Taxi", "Newhart", "The Wonder Years", & "The Waltons". Now all that's on that is classic is "Three's Company" and "Diff'rent Strokes". Don't even get me started on "Baywatch" and "Star Trek: TNG"

I know!!!!!!!!!
The only promo NAN uses for TC is for when they run the closing of the second episode of Family Ties and for the closing of the first TC.It goes something like this: "Real men don't eat quisch. They make it!While wearing an apron and pretended to be gay so the landlord doesn't kick him out.Eatch real man Jack Tripper on Three's Company next on Nick at Nite!!"

And don't forget Alice ,The Real McCoys,Dallas and Cagney & Lacey on TNN.I miss them so much!!!!!!
And is it just me or for the 3 times they had "Sunday Specials" it was Star Trek:TNG then Baywatch then Star Trek:TNG again. Not everybody watch that!!!!!!!!!!

You gotta be joking Mossopp. I have mostly boring channels on my tv. Let's see I have numerous food channels and Spanish channels, and home shopping channels. Example- 18, 20, and 21 used to be Cinemax, HBO, and some other movie channel. With my cable company they move those three channels to channels that can only be picked up if you have a box- such as channels like 304, 305, 306 etc. They replaced the channels with spanish channels. Don't ya know I watch those all day long.

We need more classic channels.
