I thought it was really nothing more than a cheap knock-off of "The Golden Girls". However, "Golden" was far more likable. There was a significant lack of chemistry in the "Cleveland" cast and the writing just wasn't that great, as it unfortunately is in most sitcoms today.

I think the show sucked big time. It's always been about three middle aged whiny sluts and an old lady.
The dialogue was never funny IMO.... no substance, so much fluff....

I think the cast was good. (although I think we could have replaced Bertinelli & Leeves for the betterment of the show.) The problem with this show, as it is with about 98% of the sitcoms on TV right now, is that the writing is terrible. Awful, disgraceful. Where some of these writers today learn comedy writing skills is a mystery to me, but they are not taught well or properly at all.

Perfect timing. Another season would be jumping the shark.

Default Hot in Cleveland: An appreciation

The TV Land sitcom ends tonight after six seasons and 130 episodes. Hot in Cleveland became a place where past network TV stars could congregate.
