Charles, I was the first grandson on both sides and both grandfathers were named Charles so it was a no-brainer for my parents.

Well to be fair some of us DO NOT WANT JUST ANYONE KNOWING OUR NAMES..

This base IS VISIBLE BY GUESTS (Which means google, etc) -- I do not share my name publicly (In PMs I do but then I know only the staff can see that )

I can see not sharing a last name but the odds of anyone finding out who you are based on your first name alone are probably slim & none especially with one as common as yours. I also don't see a need to use all caps to get your point across, I'm quite sure that Penny Lane is capable of understanding your not wanting to reveal your name without the added help. Personally, I have no issue with anyone knowing my first name, most have known it as long as I've been here and I've never had a problem with any Google guests which are mostly spiders anyway.

By the way, don't worry about me sharing your name with anyone.

I also don't see anything wrong with people on here knowing my first name.

You didn't make me mad. Personally, I just find that there's a proper time for using all caps and I rarely ever do it unless I'm trying to explain something to someone and it takes 3 times to do it. This happens a lot with eBay customers.

Hey Dude! That's quite ok. It's your decision. I can understand about being cautious. I just like to know a person's name. Especially here on Sitcoms Online. I feel we are family and I like to address people by their names. I remember back in the early years of Sitcoms Online when everybody was paranoid about posting their photographs.(Me included!) But after a few years we began to feel more comfortable about that. I really think that posting ones first name is not dangerous. But as I said, it's your decision and I respect that.

As long as you don't post personal information or your last name you should be fine. Most of us long time members know each others first names. It's nice to get to know the newbies.
