Funny how to Petula Clark became the only one of these three to make it big in America. Cilla Black could have been a big star in the U.S., and Brian Epstein tried like heck to make her a star here in the States, but that would have involved lots of travel, and she's averse to traveling long distances, I understand.

Sandie Shaw is known for performing barefoot once in awhile, and Paul McCartney emulated her on the cover of Abbey Road. Americans who'd never heard of her then thought this was a death symbol. Silly Americans . . .

Petula really swings! I miss those days. Great songs! Petula Clark began her career as a child actress.
