One of the last episodes in the series, "But Is It Art," with Claude Akins at artist Milwaukee Ames.

I like all of the episodes when Hazel was with the real Baxter family. It is strange to see the ones with the replacements.

I have been rewatching the show. Notice I think it was season 1 episode 26 that the kitchen and living room were different. It is titled Dorothys birthday. The episode is one where Dorothy has a bridge club of friends who visit. It was before the Dorothy has the boy neighbor with the crush on her. I thought at first the living arrangements has changed. No semi circle sitting area in the kithen. Then the next episode back to the old way. That it was odd to have the episode like that. Wondered it the old set was used for something else that week.

Found this answer on a Hazel episode site regarding that episode.. The rest of the house looks different-- the kitchen sink is on the opposite wall; the entrance area near the front door is tiled, not carpeted; and the dining room and living room furniture is slightly different. It is possible that this is the pilot episode and the first filmed program of the series. Even Hazel's hair looks different.

As for a favorite episode, I like the one where Hazel gets a free trip to a diet type lodge where she meets the uppity people are out of Hazels class. She meets millionaire Mrs Forbes Cragie and later makes a friend

The original pilot was filmed with Edward Andrews in the Mr. B role and when he was replaced by Don DeFore, footage was reused with the new Defore footage to make the episode "Dorothy's Birthday". That's why the set is different and Shirley is not wearing the wig. I posted the pilot on Youtube years ago because WWOR used to air it in their syndication package instead of "Dorothy's Birthday" for some reason.
