I like the California eps!!! For a couple of reasons!!! First off because I moved from the east coast to California and I can relate! Second cause I am all into the 60's, and at this point they were starting to get into the flower child/hippie era which to me was the greatest period in history !!

That being said, I watched an ep the other night of Laverne moving in with her boyfriend! Very cool ep.! And I have always liked that actor Paul Sand! BUT!!!!! When Lenny came over, and they thought it was Laverne's Pop and it turned out to be Lenny ! Well the chemistry between Laverne and Lenny sure was there, and I was thinking, these two really should get together! And I always thought Shirley and Carmine should have ended up together! That goes without saying!!!

Cindy Williams looked really beautiful in the semi-wedding ep talked about in this thread (post #11). How Carmine could look at those legs and not want to joyfully make Shirley his for all time, I don't know.

I think maybe That Girl had started a mini-trend of TV couples not getting all the way to marriage, but there were lots of exceptions. For example I think Chip & Polly got married on My Three Sons in the fall ('71) after That Girl ended.

On The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mary had very desirable single men like the characters of Paul Sand and Ted Bessell dating her -- I'm thinking okay, if these guys can't "have" her, she's likely to never marry. (I loved the Paul Sand ep, as the IRS auditor, but it was all just too brief.)

Anyway, back to L & S: If we pair up Shirley & Carmine, Laverne & Lenny, what about poor Squiggy? Maybe Rhonda for him? (lol)

I see Squiggy with some Vegas show girl type. Don't know why. He just seems the type. I think he'd be with someone outside of the gang, ya know.

YES!!! A bleach blonde with gaudy clothes and makeup (bright blue eyes shadow, bright red lipstick ,fake eyelashes ) an older woman that is way past her prime trying to pass herself off as young! And much taller than him, to add to the comedic affect!

Kinda sounds like one of those stereotypical Jersey Shore type chicks. Just add the long, ugly, fake square nails.
