I have to admit I'm still up in the air about the new show.

While I applaud the "real time" idea, and believe me I am all for any sitcom trying a new approach, I think this concept does have it's restrictions, and it's going to take some pretty sharp minds to keep the idea going.

All in all Miss Dreyfuss has concocted the best vehicle for any of the post Seinfeld cast. Let's face it, Ellie isn't a radical departure from Elaine; single, busy life, relationship trouble, and that's a good thing. Dreyfuss is playing a role she's good at, one we are familair with. Now if she can just put a fresh spin on it....

I am happy the show got killer ratings, but the big test will be next week. If there is a significant drop off in viewers, NBC might get jumpy, and in typical Network fashion they may pull the plug rather than give the show a chance to grow.
Let's hope this doesn't happen, because i think it deserves a chance.
