Something I just noticed:
In the description for the new channel it says that "227" will be airing but it's not on the schedule. I wonder if it'll be added later when "Amen" finishes its first run.

I wish they would add the Encore and Starz family channels to a regular digital lineup.

I'm really hoping they are not edited. I'm also hoping that the 7PM episodes really are repeats of the 5PM ones. Due to the fact that my DVR will only record one show at a time and I record Step By Step at 7 and 7:30PM.

Orson Welles ate 18 hot dogs and dropped dead an hour later. This is why they don't allow 70 year old men in hot dog eating competitions...probably.

Yes, the 5pm episodes are repeats of the day before. You can go to starz.com and check the schedule.

I wonder if Encore Classics will be showing the syndicated edits or the network edits of Night Court. Some of the syndicated versions have completely different scenes from the ones on DVD.

I don't presently have a subscript to Encore but I'm just interested to see how this pans out.

Edit: Murphy Brown suuuuuucks. I have no idea why they're showing it. Show The John Larroquette Show and Night Court back to back. Don't pay those pressed Boston Legal stans dust. They're irrelevant.

Are the channels only going to be available in HD?

Yes it is.... Did you not see the part that the Encore stations are commercial free and unedited? Even if a show is airing on another channel it wouldn't be as desirable there edited and filled with commercials. Plus you mention 1 show. There's at least 6 coming to the new channels. Murphy Brown is one of my favorites, it's not airing anywhere and only has the first season on DVD. Night Court isn't airing anywhere either.

I'm super excited about this news...especially with the shows being unedited and commercial-free!

I'll begin recording them on DVD when "Murphy Brown" starts season 2, "Diff'rent Strokes" begins season 5, and "227" begins season 2...I'll start recording with these seasons since I already own the studio released seasons.

I don't know about Direct TV. I have DISH.

This news doesn't make up for the fact that I don't get TV One, This TV, Antenna TV or Cozi, but it helps.

It is trash, but I live in the sticks and DISH and Direct TV are my only options.
