Sealed cassette of Robin Trower's 1986 release, Passion. I won the cd in a radio station contest soon after it was released but gave it to a friend. I forgot how good it actually is.

Got this 3 Lp set of Dion and the Belmonts 60 greatest hits for a nickel and it's in very good condition.

Also found a few more promo 45's for a nickel each

Deep Purple - "You Can't Do it Right" (With the One You Love)
Billy Joel - "You May Be Right"
Edgar Winter Group - "Free Ride"
Bad Company - "Good Lovin' Gone Bad
David Bowie - "Rebel "Rebel"
The Cars - "Shake it Up"
The Babys - "Every Time I Think of You"
Dolly Parton - "I Will Always Love You"
Mary MacGregor - "Torn Between Two Lovers"
Duran Duran - "Rio"
The 5th Dimension - "Wedding Bell Blues"
Roseanne Cash - "Seven Year Ache"
Jimmy Buffett - "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

And this one:

Default WOW VERY NICE ZONEBOY!!!!

I got the second record in my K-TEL "The hot ones" collection today!! (A collection of 70s hits)

Months ago I found the first one (No jacket) but the 2nd one was cracked!! (So I only got the first record)

Today I found the whole jacket! (With both records in it) I only got the jacket and 2nd record though as I already have the first!

I was worried when I saw that they both had a # on them (56) as K-TEL started doing this after they came back from bankrupty in the late 80s and MOST OF THIER RECORDS WITH A # ON THEM SOUND LIKE CRAP! (Low audio, not much bass, etc)

However this K-TEL record HAD THE SAME DESIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RECORD as the one I have so i was hopefull this was an EARLIER RELEASE they just added "56" to...... (The newer re-issues have a different design)

I brought it home and listenend to it,ITS GEORGEOUS SOUNDING on some songs but crappy on others!! (If i can find the original ill be getting it)

I dunno exactly what happend to K-TEL but its quite sad....... (When they came back from bankrupty the quality of thier records went TO CRAP!!)

Stopped at a new thrift store today, everything in it is a dollar and I got this Napa Valley solid wood 64 cassette tape holder for a buck. Prices for it on Ebay can vary but it's sold for nearly $50.00 on several occasions.

Very nice ZB

I last got all these

Greatest Country And Western Hits (No. 4) - This one is in Mono
A 78: Frank Sinatra - That lucky old sun/Could Ja
A 78: Frank Sinatra - If I loved you/You'll never walk alone
A 78: Gene Autry - Rudolph the red nose reindeer/If it doesnt snow on christmas (*)

* - I found a FIRST PRESSING of this 78 -- The one I had didnt sound as good and had a skip @ the very end of the first song.. (Rudolph the red nosed reindeer) -- RED COLUMBIA LABEL (Sounds better than the re-press I had of this (As most original pressings do))

Well yesterday I got:

A Cassette: Jack Wagner - All I need (Thats the only song I remember hearing off this album!! (All I need) but the whole thing sounds excellent! (Sometimes cassettes dont sound too good (Quite often the record of the SAME ALBUM sounds better)))

A Record: "Greatest country western hits" - There are 5 records in this set, they are all in Mono!! (They dont have a date on them,i tried to find info but I cant..... I found a stereo copy of this same set but it also didnt have a date!!) -- I believe it was put together in the 60s or early 70s......

TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC -- GOOD STUFF!!

Got an original copy of American Country Countdown from Jan 19, 1985 at a thrift store for .10 cents. Includes all 3 records plus the 9 page program sheet. This is something you rarely see in a thrift store but they can be found on Ebay. The #1 song for the week was "How Blue" by Reba McEntire.

This broadcast includes 10 artists who have since passed on:

George Jones
Conway Twitty
Mel McDaniel
Vern Gosdin
Dan Seals
Johnny Paycheck
Waylon Jennings
Royce Kendall
Eddie Rabbitt
Gus Hardin (only female on the list)
