Mary Tyler Moore. I can't even think of that show without getting that song stuck in my head. Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, and Facts of Life all have very catchy theme songs as well.

The number one theme was "Veronica's Closet's" She's Got Everything.
Second is "Suddenly Susan's" Nothin' On Me. |

"WKRP in Cincinnati". As an owner of several music almanacs I'm surprised it (as sung by Steve Carlisle) never hit the charts until late 1981! Didn't the show start three years earlier?

It may not be a traditional sitcom, more of an action-comedy. Nonetheless, the greatest TV theme song ever, hands-down, is "The Greatest American Hero"!
------------------ Randal: We said the same thing about "Jaws" when we were kids. Dante: You were afraid to sit on the toilet! Randal: Sharks swim in water...there's water in my toilet. I rest my case. Dante: Sharks only swim in saltwater! Randal: There's saltwater in my toilet! Dante: You're so naive... |

I like the theme songs from "Laverne and Shirley" and "Angie"
------------------ From the great Carol Burnett Show: "As the Stomache Turns" Marianne: Well, look! It's Pocahantas Purneli, the town halfbreed! Half indian, and half dressed! Come in Poke! Pocahantas: Maryanne, I know there's something desperatly missing in your life! Maryanne: How did you know? Pochantas: I saw it in your eyes, I read it in your face, I read it on your bumpersticker that says "Welcome, Shriners"! The Silver Spoons/ALF/TC Spinoffs Pettion |
