What might be the Prosecution's most important witness testified today on the third day of George Zimmerman's trial on the charge of second-degree murder of teenager Trayvon Martin. Rachel Jeantel was on her mobile telephone to the deceased and heard her friend cry "Get off! Get off!" before he was shot once fatally in the chest.

The testimony is important because it may prove that Mr. Martin had no hostile intent towards the defendant that night. Judge Debra Nelson has ruled that calls made by Mr. Zimmerman on previous occasions to report suspicious movements on the estate may be played to jurors, but experts for the Prosecution will not be allowed to testify that the cries on the mobile telephone did emanate from the deceased.http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013...immerman-trial

I don't care how she worded it. Her message was there, and she made a great point.

I should have suspended you after you made that disgusting post to Steve, and most definitely when you made fun of my warning. You're out of chances. I think a week off for you is a good idea. Watch your step.

Roger's whole attitude comes across as being "old testament
wrath of god". He thinks the death penalty should be given in
all cases of homicide, even when the law in a certain state says
that it must be a heinous crime with aggravated circumstances.

And for your infomation, Roger, Florida is the state with the fourth
highest number of executions each year, so that makes it actually
a pretty dependable state when it comes to administering the death
penalty, regardless of your sarcastic remarks on that.

Yes, I know we make joking remarks about "those crazy people in Florida",
but we mean it with good humour. Your remarks are probably insulting to
all good people from Florida(and there are many good people in Florida,
which happens to be one of the more conservative states in the union).

The trial continued today with Sanford resident John Good stating that he had witnessed a tussle outside his house between the defendant and Trayvon Martin whereby it was Martin on top inflicting a "ground and pound" movement which he associated with a Mixed Martial Arts move. Mr. Good's testimony was in contrast to a further witness Selma Mora who said Zimmerman had been on top of Mr. Martin shortly before the gunshot which ended his life.

Wherever lies the truth such uncertainty sown in the jury's mind can only assist the defendant in avoiding the second-degree murder charge.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...tion-shot.html

Yeah I've been watching the trail too. It was so dark and rainy that nobody was outside to witness it. It will be interesting to see what George Zimmerman will be found guilty of second degree murder or it was self-defense.

To me, this seems like a case of two hot headed individuals crossing paths at the wrong time. Both are to blame for the confrontation escalating the way it did, and it's very unfortunate one of them ended up losing their life.

Everything that Zimmerman says happened that night is backed up by the evidence.

It was Zimmerman's head that was being beaten into the ground by Trayvon. The only marks on Trayvon's body were scrapes on his hands, acquired from administering the beating.

Oh, and I'll add one other thing... Trayvon did not go out that night just to pick up some iced tea and skittles in the pouring rain. He went out to case the neighborhood to see which houses might be an easy mark... to break into, that is.

He was garbage.

btw, is Rachel Jeantel actually going to graduate from high school this year? How does this happen? How'd she make it this far?

I have read enough of Roger's posts over the years to know that he does not believe in God.

I think the prosecution is doing a horrible job. They have not proven a damn thing. At this point, I wouldn't blame the jury if Zimmerman is acquitted. But the whole thing can turn around, so who knows really?

And why does CNN find it necessary to air George Zimmerman's social security number?

I think pretty much any media-covered trial by jury is a crap shoot, regardless of evidence.

The entire team of prosecutors on this case should all be fired. They are not doing their job. It's their job to prove murder to the jury, and I haven't seen that happen yet.

The Casey Anthony verdict proves that. I wouldn't be shocked if he was found guilty although I don't think he is. I think the only reason he's being prosecuted is because of the public outrage that happened right after.

Maybe a murder wasn't committed that night. They can't prove something that doesn't exist.

Even the lead investigator believes Zimmerman's story. The prosecution is in really big trouble.
