Default Julia Louis-Dreyfus: ‘I’m very satisfied’ with Obama and will vote for him ‘again’

http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/12/ju...m-again-video/

Quote:
Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who stars as Vice President Selina Meyer in the new HBO series “VEEP,” told The Daily Caller that she is “very satisfied” with President Barack Obama’s performance in office and that she will vote for him again in the next election.

TheDC asked Dreyfus, best known for her role as Elaine Benes on the hit television show “Seinfeld,” if she hopes GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney chooses a female running mate.

“I’m a Barack Obama supporter myself so that’s all I’m going to say,” Dreyfus responded at the premiere of “VEEP,” which debuts on HBO Sunday, April 22.

“I’m very satisfied with the president and I’m looking forward to voting for him again,” she said.

In 2009 Vice President Joe Biden said his job was “easy” because you “don’t have to do anything.” TheDC asked Dreyfus if she agrees or disagrees with Biden, based on her experience with the show.

“Yes and no, is that a fair answer? I mean, I think that the Vice President’s — it’s a question of, it’s not that they don’t do anything, it’s that what they do and how important that is and the Vice President is a powerful position,” she said.

“I think at the same time it’s an entirely powerless position and inherent in that is great comedy, you know? I mean, because in fact, the Vice President has two constitutional duties, to preside over the Senate and to step in for the president should he or she become unable to govern. Other than that, there’s nothing.”

Dreyfus said she has not discussed the show with Biden.

“I met Biden before when he was campaigning. I did a goofy bit with him on the Ellen show but and I’m a huge fan but I haven’t had an opportunity to talk to him about this show yet,” she said.

“I think frankly, understandably, when we were shooting this originally, I think he was probably hesitant to talk to us or to me specifically because he didn’t know what the hell this show was going to be, you know what I mean? I get that.”

Oh No

She may be only one of the few celebrities that think so...even some die-hard Dems WON'T vote for Obama the 2nd Time!

What I find interesting about her is that she comes from one of the wealthiest families in the USA yet she is a Democrat. I don't know why that interests me because other wealthy people are Democrats like Warren Buffet but it does.

I am not happy about Obama but can't say I'm thrilled about Romney either. However I know many Obama supporters who are switching to Romney and many celebs who were Obama supporters are reportedly now Romney supporters.

I'm not sure why a celebrity feels more confident about Obama than the rest of us working stiffs. He's certainly going to go after OUR cash than his rich celebutante buds.

Hey, Elaine, give us a reason why WE should vote for Obama. After all, like 'Seinfeld', the Obama Show is a show about NOTHING!!!

The idea that the wealthiest people and families in the country are all Republicans is a total myth. While the two wealthiest members of Congress are Republicans, for example, the next eight on the list are all Democrats. And while John Kerry is #3 on the list (as of 2011), it doesn't take into account his wife's vast fortune or the allowance she gives him.

The #1 guy (R-Tex) also has a wife who is very wealthy (she's the daughter of Clearchannel's CEO).

Democrats have dominated these lists over the years in terms of the top 10.

I know it's a myth but it still amazes me because the Republicans are far more generous towards the rich than the Democrats are.

It's because...in my honest opinion...the rich don't have much to lose and life is fine. They can give more money than they can count...and still get more, as a matter of fact, The Republicans give more money to charities!
The poor...some of them...HAVE to rely on the Government, so if the Government helps them, they'll be happy. But if they don't...they'll be upset!

Why can't there be Democratic Celebrities like Paul Newman or Billy Joel or Robert DeNiro?

You mean Republican celebrities, right? those celebs are Democrats. But yes there aren't a lot of normal Republican celebs. You touched on the issue that many avoid is that many of the poor (let's be blunt the non working poor)vote Democrat because they get more goodies.

I didn't say anything about Republican Celebrities...I was saying that there's Limousine Democrats who WANT people to give more and won't give a damn dime to charities...they want it all!

I'm sure Drew Carey is a little more serious when he talks about the pet population on "The Price Is Right" and I'd want to have a beer with him, and yes...he's a Republican!

There's no question that the Democrats #1 objective has always been to make as many people dependent on government (taxpayer) handouts as possible. It doesn't matter to the elected officials that these peoples' lives are being destroyed because of their dependence. Liberal Democrats see that as acceptable collateral damage in exchange for votes.

Louis-Dreyfus feels extremely guilty about her wealth, which is not unusual for Hollywood libs. She probably doesn't think she's had to work very hard for what she's earned. But she also put a few years of low-paying stuff as well (true, her family is wealthy and she didn't "need" the money). SNL (3 years) doesn't pay a whole lot.

She's also very, very good at what she does. She was (imo) the best comic actress of the 90s, and was better than anyone from the 80s or 2000s. Someone like that is worth whatever they can get.

She's a complete moron when it comes to certain things... she doesn't understand anything about oil, for example and has made some positively asinine statements about it. But I like her anyway...politically she's pretty harmless.

Don't know what this new "Veep" show will be like, although I guess I could imagine, with her playing the VP. Probably won't waste my time on it. That's really the only reason she's in the news, it's not about Obama, it's about her new show.

Agreed, though I'm going to give the show a chance. It looks funny. I've already got my DVR set.
