Default Sit on It!

Was "Sit on it!" an actual catch phrase of the 50's, as far as any of you know?

The phrase was obviously meant to be an insult. What was the "it" that someone was being told to sit on?

I remember that phrase being kind of an "in" thing to say to insult people while Happy Days aired, in the mid to late 70's. At least at my high school, lol!

It's kind of like a Happy Days version of the Bart Simpson saying "Eat my shorts!"

Default Sit On It

Catch Phrase created only for Happy Days.
There's a lit of them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPvU1vJ29C4
Some of the more ubiquitous and annoying catchphrases from HAPPY DAYS. (Most of these are from the third season because they deliberately introduced new catchphrases that season.)
