Have: "Star Search" with Ed McMahon
Star Search with Ed McMahon
This is an overview of what I have in my collection.
Season 1 (1983-84) [E! Reruns]
This was the inaugural season that introduced us to the world's greatest talent competition. This season was taped at Metromedia Square.
Junior edition features:
Thanks to TV of YourLife and Justin D of Atlanta
Season 2 (1984-85)
Note: From this season until 1992, the show was taped at Aquarius Theatre which became the show's home for almost the entire run.
Amy Stock (from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures)
Beverly Leech (aka Kate Monday from “Mathnet/Square One TV”)
Season 3 (1985-86) [E! Reruns; Jr. version Original Broadcasts]
Cyndi James Reese
Karen Marie Thomas
Junior Edition features:
Season 4 (1986-87) (Original Broadcasts)
Note: From this point forward, Star Search had eliminated the leading lady/man category and replaced it with Teens and Juniors in the Fall of '86.
Also, the spokesmodel segment now involves the models introducing fashion design in the video as well as tease views before the commercial break.
Heinz and Kesha
Season 5 (1987-88)
Note: The spokesmodel segment has already adopted the standard format. Also, this is the first season NOT produced by Bob Banner Associates.
America's Apple Pie
Tony and Kerri
Season 8 (1990-91)
Major changes to the show, after fall of 1988 we're introduced to the video wall for the spokesmodel segments, the band competition made a comeback, and the show had a faster paced format. Also, the theme music was updated since fall of '88.
If anyone is interested in trading for shows that I don't have, please PM or email me for more information. Thanks!
