I was too young too. Although I've been to the closest equivalent I can think of--I was at the filming for this season's premiere of "Frasier". There were three Cheers characters in that ep--Frasier (obviously!), Lilith, and Diane. Kelsey and Bebe were having a great time joking with each other. Shelley Long looked extremely nervous, and I think having the audience there threw her off. There was one point in the episode where Diane did something really funny, and the audience laughed for a long time, and Shelley didn't know what to do. She waited awhile, started her next line, and stopped almost immediately.

I was sitting pretty close to where the scene was being filmed, so when that happen, I heard Shelley say to one of the crew "They wouldn't stop laughing!", then she turned to the audience and added "I mean, it's good that you're laughing, I just didn't...know what to do." Like I said before, she seemed really nervous, but she seemed to relax a bit when Kelsey came over and talked to her.

Bebe was having trouble with one of her lines, and the first time she flubbed it, she yelled this curse word that I never expected to hear Lilith say. The audience was dying of laughter, and she looked terribly embarrassed.

It was a lot of fun, and I'd highly recommend it if you're ever in the LA area.

Nit-picky reply from AKA:

Cheers was filmed, not taped.

I WOULD GIVE UP ALOT TO SEE A LIVE TAPING OF FRASIER,that would be alot of fun,but i don,t think that is going to happen at all because i won,t be able to travel for awhile and by the time i get to fraiser will probably be over, but i,d really like to see a live taping of it,but if i don,t i guess it will still be allright though
