"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy is reportedly reconsidering the role of Finn Hudson after the actor who plays him, Cory Monteith, complained that the show's cast is overworked and underpaid, reports the New York Post's Page Six.
Murphy allegedly also threatened to cut Monteith from a "Glee" spinoff and threatened to stop production of an untitled comedy in which the actor is attached to star and co-produce, the story says. Monteith's representative said the report is "completely fabricated," while a "Glee" rep said the story had no truth, the article adds. Monteith has made public comments about the cast's compensation, noting in a radio interview last year that he was paid $400 for a "Glee" album that went to No. 1, the piece notes. Monteith and Murphy have reportedly clashed since the Fox series resumed production last month, after Monteith surfaced as what one source called the “de facto leader” for complaints from the cast. Cast members reportedly want a bigger cut from the show’s success, the source said, adding, “But Ryan thinks Cory is causing trouble.” http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/
