Default Am I drinking the Kool Aid but is Nick at Nite getting a little better?

I say this because with Married With Children on there already and now Friends coming in Sept., do you think Nick at Nite has gotten a little better now? It seems like there adding some new shows because it seemed like they had the same shows forever.

So am I right or am I drinking the Kool Aid?

Absolutely not. That 70s Show and Married with Children now and Friends soon. Nick at Nite used to air family friendly shows.

I think it's a lot better than it was when Fresh Prince was airing all night long. My favorites are definitely The Nanny and That 70's Show. I honestly don't care for Married with Children and don't expect it to stay seeing as Viacom bounces it around constantly.

It's improving with the addition of MWC and friends but since the shows below are still on the N@N schedule it has a long way to go

That's 70's show
The Nanny
My Wife and Kids

Did you guys see that short promo saying Friends will premiere Sept. 5 (Monday) at 8pm?

I really hope that 8pm is just because it's a marathon week-long stunt because it should definitely NOT have the 8pm hour - 11pm would be a much better fit.

8-9PM: My Wife & Kids
9-10PM: George Lopez
10-11PM: That '70s Show
11-12AM: Friends
12-1AM: Married...With Children
1-2AM: George Lopez
2-3AM: My Wife & Kids
3-4AM: That '70s Show
4-5AM: Friends
5-7AM: Family Matters

That's what I would imagine their schedule looking like - assuming The Nanny is gone (which it should be, already! and also that MWC remains).

As stated in last week's press release, FRIENDS will have a week long marathon kicking off September 5th at 8pm before settling into it's 10pm time slot on Monday, September 12th.

Just a guess at what this means for the schedule...

8:00pm - George Lopez
9:00pm - That '70s Show
10:00pm - Friends
11:00pm - Married... with Children
12:00am - The Nanny
1:00am - Friends
2:00am - That '70s Show
3:00am - George Lopez
4:00am - The Nanny
5:00am - Family Matters
6:00am - My Wife and Kids

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated the Roseanne and Fresh Prince era. I think the only reason why Fresh Prince was running so much on Nick @ Nite had to do with the endless memes on websites involving Carlton and the theme lyrics.

@ mets82, it seems viewers agree with you. The episode of Married with Children on Wednesday at 11pm scored 1.346 million viewers.

I don't know how that compares to other Nick at Nite airings, but those numbers seem pretty solid for 11pm.

I don't get to watch it at 11pm because the local news is on. I catch it on N@N2 at 2am eastern time

Nah. To me, NAN is not much better. I do not want to see "Friends" on the channel. It's so nonNAN to me. Married With Children, I will let them get away with but NAN has gotten out of whack for me.

Well, that press release wasn't mentioned here on the blog or the forum so...

No no! It's just because it wasn't posted here on the forums but you made it sound like I should have known (to be fair, a fan of sitcoms, TV, and N@N like me should have known but I somehow missed the press release!)

Thanks for sending the link.

I find the 11PM hour would suit the show better, though. Nothing wrong with 10PM but That '70s Show is more teen-centered than Friends so I would have thought it would continue to air at 10. I'd be surprised if My Wife & Kids or George Lopez gets moved later.
