Smile Good times...

My husband and I just got home. We went to Best Buy. We bought two Rokus and a router; one for the living room and one for the bedroom. He's installing it now. I hope it goes okay, and I that it's worth the $$. President's Day and no sale. Not fair.

I then went to Target while he waited in the car. It was the fastest $85 spent. Talk about power shopping. After that, we went for dinner at Kelly's for dinner. It's been around since 1951. Famous for their roast beef sandwiches and fried fish dinners. Jenny and I went there when she visited me last fall.

There's a Blockbuster by my house that is going out of business in 7 days so my husband and I bought two DVD's. Bottle Shock; which was only $1.99 and Love Happens for only 99 cents! They were previously viewed but still that's an amazing deal!

Janice, how are you liking your Roku so far? Are you using it to stream Netflix or Hulu Plus? What kind of TV do you and Lou have?

Went to CVS and took advantage of a few deals

Bought 1 pack of cold medicine for $6.99 + 3 packs of gum for $3.00
Got $8.99 extra bucks

Used $8.99 extra bucks and bought 2 pediasure infant's fever medicine and 3 packs of cough drops. total was $16.04 and I had to pay $7.05 but got another $8.00 extra bucks

Used that $8.00 extra bucks and got three 12 packs of Diet 7up which were on sale 3/$10 and paid a balance of $2.70 and got another $2.00 extra bucks so I got them for .70 cents

Used that $2.00 extra bucks to get 3 more packs of gum for $1.00

It's set up in the bedroom which is great because I've been on a 24-hour marathon of The Office. Just leaving my room to shower and call take-out, lol. That tv is only two years old and has HD. Lou's having a problem setting up the other one in the living room. That's our huge Sony that's 12 years old. All the reviews I read said that their Rokus worked with very old tvs, and the guys at Best Buy said it wouldn't matter. We'll see tomorrow. This little project is now up to almost $500 now, with the two Rokus, router, two sets of cables at $50 a piece.

Lou's close to having Best Buy come here to get it up and running. They charge $150 for that. He said we're in so deep, that it doesn't matter. I disagree. The plan is to have Lou watch all his alien/action/adventure movies on the sofa, while I watch tv shows and sappy movies, lol. Just kidding. I am excited about this. I can't believe all unlimited streaming for $7.99 a month. We'll add a couple of mail dvds in time as the New Releases aren't available. I'll tell you though, I saw a lot of good recent movies while flipping through. Thanks for asking. Sorry for writing a book.

Sorry you're experience such headache with it so far. If I lived closer to you, I'd definitely help you and Lou hook everything up (I'm sort of an A/V nerd). I hope that in the 18 hours since your post, you've gotten everything resolved and are enjoying streaming Dick Van Dyke episodes on Netflix!
