It's funny that Mabel thought she was the main part of the show and turned down 13 eps-lol

Simply put her along with moms on recurring status or keep them as regulars with fewer eps. It was strange to have scenes filmed in Mrs. Thomas' house and she was never there! LOL.

Dr. Thong, thanks for forming your opinion in a respectful manner. I don't know why it's hard for people to do that when it comes to internet chatting. Nobody directly as SOL, I'm just saying in general. People seem to blow up at other people they don't even know. Just giving you props.

Thank you, sir.

To me, coming here and posting about shows is for fun. And while I'm very opinionated, I respect others' opinions. I think the diversity in what we see in these classic shows and how we feel about them is what makes it interesting.

The absence of Mrs. Thomas was noticeable and she was missed. Even years later in "What's Happening Now" her not being there was a missing part. The producers made a blunder getting rid of her.

THIS IS HOW THE SITCOM LOST ITS MAGIC - this show is a legend because of the first 2 seasons - that cast line up [Thomas/Berry/Nelson/Hemphill/Spencer/&/King] is the only one ill honestly consider - season 3 was a pathetic follow up to the previous 2 - it was too abrupt having Raj and Rerun graduate HS, leaving Dwayne in a 3rd wheel position - and getting their own apartment directly after that episode was just as bold - And how do they replace King? with characters named Snake & Earl [big or little, they both sucked] - King brought the love to the show; i felt like she WAS their mama and she loved those kids to death; she brought diginity and class and her acting was very endearing - whats happening now failed for the same reason - who knows the real reasons - those 3 [raj, rerun, dwayne] in real life were notoriously difficult as the show got more successful - the whole end of season 2 to the end of season 3 era was really strange -
