Happy holidays...
I have to say though, I feel kind of depressed, considering. I wish all the people we see on UM who were taken too young were still with us. They deserve to be. It makes me feel incredibly sad, because I feel sort of guilty celebrating this season while others are long gone, their families with an empty seat the table that shouldn't be so. I mean if someone dies a natural death, or of old age, that's fine. They went with peace, and their families know it, and it was "their time". But there's so many victims of murderer, people stolen in youth or killed for no real reason still not found today, or whose murders have gone unsolved, and these poor people, these innocent victims, they deserve to be here living with us now. Kathy Hobbs and her wonderful talent and mind should still be here, so should Angela Hammond and her baby who'd be nearly an adult today; Pamela June Ray should be here celebrating Christmas with her children instead of them being robbed of a mother so long ago; The Rodgers women shouldn't have been taken from the world so long ago, in 1989; They should still be here today. And so many others.... As long as I'm around, I want to ensure that these people aren't ever forgotten. And when I'm not around and I've gone to whatever waits beyond, I hope to meet them. If there is a God, may He/She/It grant to those who have lost loved ones prematurely some answers, some peace, some closure...That's my Holiday Wish. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
One of things I like to do every December is watch Christmas movies on video/DVD. The Jimmy Stewart movie It's A Wonderful Life is one of them. Although there is no direct link between that film and UM (at least none that I'm aware of), Jimmy Stewart and Robert Stack knew each other. They both appeared in the 1940 movie The Mortal Storm. Also, when Stewart died in 1997 (at the age of 89), Stack attended his funeral. Enjoy the Christmas season, everyone! ![]() |

Thank you for the warm wishes! A happy holiday to you and your family and everyone on our UM family! My prayers will always be with those missing and their families and loved ones gone, I never forget...I do hope those that are not with us anymore are remembered during the holiday season.
