I don't have one but if I did I would probably go for real (or a very very good looking artificial one - in green!)

Artificial. And small. It's all I've got room for in the apartment.

we have an artificial one, a real one's too much hassle. Although I heard on the news tonight that there are benifits to having a real one; some you may not think of. The only one that I remember them saying is that since most communitys recycle trees after Christmas; you can ask them to give you the mulch from yours.

Right now it is just a small artificial decorated tree on a table. For me it is all about what is under the tree

We have one of those little Charlie Brown Trees, so yeah, artificial. We also have a larger artificial one, but it is a pain to put together and I don't like the looks of it that much. Some years we do get a real tree though. This year we decided to just go simple. After all, Christmas isn't about trees or presents.

I have 3 foot green Artificial tree that sits on a table in the living room & a 2 foot fiber optic tree in the dining room. Artificial is less hassle.
