Default No Promos for Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie

When Bewitched first joined TV Land there wasn't a single promo for it. The same is now true with I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched the second time around. It really annoys me, because when Everybody Loves Raymond, The Nanny, and any original joined we were bombarded with promos. By doing this, it makes you think TV Land cares more about the modern shows then they do the classic shows. How do they expect viewers to tune in when they don't even know a show is coming? It's almost as though they want the classic shows to fail. That is a bad move when you consider the classic shows historically have done better then the modern shows.

I agree. TV Land's CEO announced years ago that TV land is no longer a classic network but he added they would continue to air some classic's.
The CEO feels just baby boomers want the classic's, he is going for younger people. The problem is most of the people begging for the return of the classic's are those younger people he is targeting for Reality shows.
The proof is their own message board and Facebook.

The classic's would do so much better than all the reality shows they now air but the CEO refuses to listen. The newest one with Harry and Lisa was terrible. We attempted to give it a shot...that lasted about 9 minutes.

They may care more about the newer shows, but they obviously don't work for them....OK, one has, but like 8 have failed! Maybe they think the Bewitched/Jeannie audience will find those shows and they don't need promoting like a Raymond, which is on locals and TBS also? I'd think that show isn't doing fantastically since they still have to promote it so? Good Times and The Jeffersons didn't get any promotion either, but I noticed they started back the "up next/after that" thing on screen.
They haven't really promoted their shows very heavily since 2003'ish. Ray is the only one they still promote, and they did 50 days of Andy.

Harry Loves Lisa: FAIL.
Terrible. Please, TV Land, STOP the reality shows!

I did see a promo or two for "Bewitched" when it first came this past summer but it's nothing like what we see for their original shows or PRIME shows. I'm not saying Bewitched or IDOJ would get the ratings those get but they would certainly do somewhat better with SOME promotion. Bah TV Land...

I also agree.WGN,when they air "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Bewitched",at least have now done promos for the shows,so fans know they're out there, still on,and when they're on.But not TVLand. They are going-and have gone-downhill,and have hit rock bottom. And soon,I predict,"Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie"on TVLand, will be just a memory.Thank goodness for WGN and DVD's.

Yes, TV Land has gone downhill, but I still think they are the best channel out there for classic TV. The only time on the schedule that isn't classic is 9PM-3AM. And that could change since most of the newer shows do so poorly which could give classics more time. I don't think they are adding any more shows that we know of until Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2013, which will bomb probably. My main issue with them is that they apparently think Leave it to Beaver and Hogan's Heroes are poison.

WGN is mostly modern...they have The Beverly Hillbillies and the Bewitched/Jeannie hour, but that's about all. I doubt we will see any more new classic TV programming on there. They have added a ton of new/recent shows and no classics, at least TV Land is doing both with the latter dominating. Hallmark had potential with classics until Martha.

Why would anyone waste their time bothering with TVLand. That network went to sh*t long ago.

They have started promoting the upcoming "Tony Loves Jeannie" weekend marathon.

They are also planning more for November, as beginning October 30th it looks like Saturdays/Sundays (except for Halloween) will be Jeannie from 12pm-2pm and Bewitched from 2pm-4pm from what I can see.
