Hey, new around here. Lurked here for a little bit and I really like Unsolved Mysteries. I DVR all the new ones on Spike. I remember a case from a long time ago and havent run into the replay yet. The gist of the the case was a kid went missing or found dead, cant remember. There was a carnival in town maybe where he was seen and some thought maybe he OD'd or something at a party. Another theory I remember was maybe he was shot by an older group of guys while he was swimming. Was there ever any update on the story?? Did the body ever turn up?? Also, is there a search feature in this forum??

![]() Yep, on the main page with the threads on it the blue bar above them has a link that says "Search this forum" Click that and a search bar drops down to type in a search. The case you're referring to is Jeremy Bright. He has never been found. http://charleyproject.org/cases/b/bright_jeremy.html |

I'm sure some teenagers were involved in whatever happened. Its amazing no one has broken the silence with important information.

Welcome It doesn't really surprise me that no one has come forward if they were involved. It's CYA syndrome. They know they will, most likely, end up in trouble.

From everything I've gathered over the years and the bits of information I have seen in various places it appears there is about a 99.9% chance this young man is dead, the victim of some sort of foul play and that a number of locals and probably the police as well have a good idea who was involved. But no arrests have ever been made, most likely for lack of evidence and a body.
I don't know that its any consolation to the family but I read somewhere at least one of the suspects is incarcerated for another crime, and that another is half insane now, some suspect from guilt over what happened. Hopefully the full truth of this story will finally come out one day when someone finally mans up and tells the truth and young Mr Bright's family can finally put this to rest. |
