Tvland and their stupid off the clock programming. How is anyone supposed to watch or tape when they do that? Besides that, schedule isn't beyond the usual stinkiness. Hot In Cleveland was good, I'll watch more of that. Things can only improve when The Nanny joins.

I wish Home Improvement would still be in the 8pm timeslot or in primetime altogether

Default What is up with Tvland?

Their website stinks now just like their tv channel. I tried to watch but there were so many commercials I gave up and changed to the Hallmark Channel because they were showing I Love Lucy. Awesome. Hallmark Channel just keeps getting better and better all the time. Whos the Boss is cool too. But I am sure most of the channels by next year will be rid of retro tv. And that is way too bad. I am glad there are dvds.

Coming Aug. 25...

NEW SEASON OF TV LAND’S “SHE’S GOT THE LOOK” PREMIERES ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 25th WITH NEW HOST BROOKE BURKE AND TEN WOMEN OVER THE AGE OF 35 COMPETING FOR A SECOND CHANCE AT THEIR DREAMS

Six-Part Reality Series Which Taped in Los Angeles For The First Time

Features New Judge – Supermodel and Runway Icon Roshumba Williams

New York, New York, June 28, 2010 -- TV Land’s competition reality series “She’s Got The Look” has a whole new look when it returns for its third season on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10PM ET/PT as the series introduces a new host – Brooke Burke (“Dancing With The Stars, “Wild On”); a new city – Los Angeles; a new judge – supermodel Roshumba Williams and ten new finalists all over the age of 35 competing for a second chance at their dreams. The TV Land PRIME original series is a collaboration with Wilhelmina Models, Inc. and sets out to discover a beautiful, sophisticated and confident woman over the age of 35 who has the potential to transform herself into a model, representing some of the most high-profile brands and highly-coveted campaigns in the fashion and beauty industries. The winner of the series receives a contract with Wilhelmina Models, Inc. and a photo spread in SELF Magazine. Also joining Roshumba Williams are returning judges, celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and Wilhelmina president Sean Patterson. Emmy® Award-Winner Allison Grodner (“Big Brother,” “Blowout”) returns as executive producer and has joined forces with executive producer Rich Meehan (“Big Brother”) under their new banner, Fly On The Wall Entertainment. Rachel Tung is also executive producer. RoC® Skincare is the presenting sponsor of “She’s Got The Look.”

“She’s Got The Look” chronicles a nationwide model search resulting in 10 contenders coming to live together in Los Angeles as they compete in photo shoots, a video shoot and high fashion runway shows. The series is now playing in over 70 countries, with the first three seasons sold around the world. It can be seen in France, Italy, Israel, Australia, Israel, Thailand, Korea, Holland and South Africa. “She’s Got The Look” is distributed worldwide by Fremantle Media.

Throughout the past three seasons of “She’s Got The Look,” contestants have ranged from the ages of 35 to 72-years-old. The exposure and success from the series has secured a variety of top-tier bookings for many of the show’s alumni with clients such as: Kmart, Verizon, AT&T, Nicole Miller Cosmetics, Hallmark, Microsoft, Toyota, Volvo and many more. These achievements illustrate the shows premise that beauty is timeless.

From a certified bus mechanic to a trial lawyer to an Olympic trial swimmer to an insurance agent from Michigan and a grandmother of six, this season’s finalists are all accomplished and diverse women with unique life stories competing for the grand prize.

“This season of ‘She’s Got The Look’ is even more exciting with a new host, new judge, new city and another amazing group of finalists, all 35 and older,” states Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. “The series is filled with transformations on the inside AND the outside and our viewers will be able to witness the amazing mentoring between the contestants and our judges.”

Sean Patterson, president of Wilhelmina Models, said, “We never thought we would be able to top the amazing cast of women in seasons 1 and 2, but somehow we did. The depth of life-experience, the willingness to learn and the beauty that we unearthed in the women combined for the most compelling season for the show so far."

“SELF’s message to our 6.7 million readers that beauty starts from the inner self matches the objective of ‘She’s Got the Look’ – uncovering inspiring women who are their happiest, most confident and beautiful selves at any age,” states Lucy Danziger, SELF Magazine Editor-in-Chief. “SELF encourages all women to continually challenge themselves to meet new goals and be their all around best, inside, outside and in the world. We call it being SELFy, and it’s exciting and fun!”

“She’s Got The Look’s” Ten Contestants Are:

Marilin Archie, 38

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

One would never guess that this mother of two is a certified bus mechanic for the Los Angeles Metro. Born and raised in South Central, Marilin experienced a rough childhood but describes herself as relatable and adaptable. With an atypical model body type, Marilin believes her exotic beauty and competitiveness will take her far in modeling.

Annie Batista, 35

Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

A tried and true New Yorker, Annie manages a health club and works out religiously. One of four sisters, this Dominican-American has always been considered the taller, skinnier and more awkward one in the family. She’s out to prove them wrong.

Diane Capozzi, 39

Hometown: Natick, MA

A top ten finalist after trying out three times for “She’s Got The Look,” Diane has always considered herself an outcast. She was the only African American daughter adopted into a white family and was a tomboy at an early age, but Diane found strength in her athleticism. As a competitive swimmer, she even went on to qualify for the Olympic trials!

Regina “Nina” Cash, 43

Hometown: Long Beach, CA

Nina grew up in a very traditional Catholic military family and describes her ethnic background as a “Heinz 57 mix” – she is of Filipino, Spanish, German, Japanese and Native American descent. Briefly working as a model at 25, she found herself pregnant and put her career aside to raise her child. Now Nina wants to pick up where she left off twenty years ago!

Rachelle Love, 35

Hometown: Memphis, TN

A self-described country girl, Rachelle did some modeling in her teens in the Dallas market but turned down a chance to go to Milan because she was homesick. This now more confident and mature phone operator and mother of two isn’t going to let this second chance at modeling pass her by.

Julie Love-Templeton, 36

Hometown: Tuscaloosa, AL

A true Southern Belle and former “Mrs. American,” Julie is the youngest of 10 children. Wanting to impress her father, she followed in her parents’ footsteps and became a trial lawyer. When her father passed away, she realized that she enjoyed being a lawyer only because it brought her closer to him. Even though Julie describes herself as a “bull in a china shop,” she’s always had the modeling bug.

Kim Maier, 37

Hometown: Highland, MI

Kim left her small Michigan hometown early to attend the Art Institute in New York City for photography. Her interest in modeling was fueled through photography, often finding herself in front of the lens. Despite her statuesque six-foot height, Kim refers to herself as quirky and a shy “shrinking violet.”

Susan Master, 54

Hometown: Worthington, OH

Susan may be the oldest of the competitors but this grandmother of six has the energy of girls half her age. She’s modeled on and off in and around Columbus, OH for 30 years but always wondered if she could make it on a national level. At home, Susan is the bridge between generations, simultaneously taking care of her 93-year-old mother and her 7-year-old grandsons.

Kathleen Neumann, 41

Hometown: Livonia, MI

This petite 5’5” insurance agent knows she is not average model height, but that’s not stopping her from pursuing her dream. Although Kathleen has never made it out of her hometown, this small town girl who is a single mom knows she’s photogenic and has a shot in the industry.

Jocelyn Williams, 40

Hometown: Round Rock, TX

This mother of three who married her high school sweetheart co-owns a security business but knows her true calling was to be a model. Jocelyn was once scouted while vacationing in NYC to be in a family magazine and was asked to play the part of a mother – ten years younger than her actual age! She believes that she’s only gotten more striking over the years!

Marco Bresaz, Keith Cox and Sal Maniaci serve as executive producers for TV Land; Sean Patterson and Corey Preston are executive producers from Wilhelmina.

BETTY WHITE CATCHES LEBRON FEVER AND SHOCKS

WITH AN OFFER HE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REFUSE

Betty White and the cast of TV Land’s runaway hit "Hot in Cleveland" -- Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick – have gotten in the bidding war to lure Lebron James to stay put as a Cav. The fabulous quartet – whose show is based where the coveted free agent last played - echoes the sentiments of Clevelanders, asking Lebron James to stay as they channel their characters in a taped video message. In the video, Bertinelli, Leeves and Malick discuss how the name Lebron lends itself nicely to fit in with other sports, and the hilarious Betty White chimes in with some straight talk and says: "I'll make it worth your while."

Below is the script.

VALERIE: Hi, LeBron. Now that we’re Clevelanders, we wanted to join in the effort to get you to stay.

WENDIE: I’ve heard of him. He’s an athlete, right?

BETTY: He plays for The Cavaliers.

JANE: Isn’t a Cavalier like a French cowboy?

WENDIE: That makes sense because LeBron is a french name. I bet it’s hockey.

JANE: It’s also a very elegant name. Maybe he’s a figure skater.

VALERIE: Look at us, it’s like a sports bar in here.

BETTY: What’s wrong with you girls? He’s the best basketball player on the planet.

VALERIE: LeBron, please stay.

BETTY: I’ll make it worth your while...

It's a shame they don't have Murphy Brown and Mad About You anymore. With shows like Home Improvement, Raymond, Roseanne, The Nanny (soon), etc., I think those might have worked better now. MB would fit well with The Nanny and Roseanne. If they aren't going to show many older shows, I wish they'd get some 90s sitcoms that haven't been in syndication a whole lot.

I just don't think the channel was ready for them back in 2007/2008.

And, I was thinking...The Nanny is probably airing in the 8PM hour because it will likely stay on Nick at Nite later at night, and a ~10PM airing be too conflicting.

I'd think that Mad About You especially would fit in pretty well now with the current TV Land dynamic. Murphy Brown could work as well. I would love to see both shows back on TV Land, but obviously since they no longer have either show, the chances of that happening are pretty slim. I do agree completely, though, that when both shows premiered on TV Land a few years back, the audience just wasn't ready for them. I'd think they'd fit in much better now.

Another show that would be interesting on TV Land now is Wings. They showed it from 2004-2007? and it never did well. All of the 90s sitcoms mentioned would be really good for a late afternoon/evening block maybe. Maybe some time down the road they will re-examine things and try giving some of the shows from the 90s that weren't blockbuster shows like Raymond, Roseanne, Friends, etc a shot. I'd love to see them try NewsRadio, which has had trouble in syndication.

Tim Conway, beloved for his hilarious characters on “The Carol Burnett Show,” goes toe-to-toe with Max (Carl Reiner) to win the heart of Elka (Betty White) in an episode entitled “It’s Not That Complicated,” scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, July 28th.

In “The Play’s the Thing” airing Wednesday, August 4th, Mark Indelicato plays “Zack,” a drama nerd and fan of Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) who invites his hero to give some notes on his school’s production of “Romeo & Juliet.” Gary Anthony Williams plays “Coach Taylor” who trains and treats the drama team like a football team, much to Zack’s dismay. Hilarity ensues when Ms. Chase ends up giving more than just a few notes.

Dave Foley joins the “Hot in Cleveland” cast for an episode as “Dr. Robert Moore,” the head of a local medical foundation who comes to see Victoria (Malick) when she fakes a deadly disease to gain sympathy and votes for her Emmy® nomination. “Good Luck Faking the Goiter” airs Wednesday, August 11th and also guest stars pop sensation Joe Jonas, lead singer of Jonas Brothers.

“Hot in Cleveland,” which airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesdays, stars sitcom favorites Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and 16-time Emmy®-nominee Betty White. The show, which has garnered great critical acclaim and record-breaking ratings, was picked up on July 7 for a second season of 20 episodes. The second season will begin production in October 2010 and is expected to premiere in January 2011 on TV Land.

“Hot in Cleveland” revolves around three fabulous best friends from LA – novelist Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli), eye-brow archer to the stars Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) and former soap star Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) – who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing. When the friends discover that they are hot in Cleveland, they decide to stay. Starting over, they rent a house that happens to come with a very feisty caretaker (Betty White).

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, “Hot in Cleveland” is executive produced by Emmy® Award-winner Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions and is helmed by Emmy® Award-winning Suzanne Martin (“Frasier,” “Ellen”) serving as executive producer, show runner and writer. Lynda Obst also serves as executive producer.
