Talking Turtle Named Cheesecake

I think this is funny. My sister got a turtle and named it Cheesecake!

She goes on the patio and talks to him. I bet the neighbors probably think she's nuts because she's 'talking to a cheesecake'. He has a kiddy pool that he stays in. When my mother and sister move he will go with them.

Very cute name for the turtle. And the setup sounds cute too!

Now all she needs is a female chocolate colored rabbit or hamster named Mabel Syrup and she's in business!

When I was growing up, a kid in my neighborhood had a pet Chihuahua named Taco.

That thread title made me literally "lol".

Can you share with us why your sister chose this name?

Yes, it does. I remember seeing his Chihuahua when I was in elementary school, probably around 1970 or 1971. I don't know when the Taco Bell dog was introduced, but it definitely wasn't around in the early 1970s.

She said one of her teachers gave her the idea of calling the turtle that.

Neat.

I know there's a dessert called a "turtle", it has something to do with ice cream sandwiches and pecans, maybe there's a connection somewhere.
