What are you having surgery for, Treky, if you don't mind being asked? Many surgeries are now very routine.

I've had a couple of surgeries over the years, and it's always nerve-wracking. Wishing you the best!

Surgery CAN certainly be scary. But try to isolate exactly, what is making you so fearful. The Hospital? Doctors? Pain? Results? Take a few moments
to take a deep breath and clear your mind. Pray or meditate, to focus on
healing and not letting anxiety have any power over you!

I would be scared too, but I have a hunch that you are going to be okay. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is easier said than done, but please stay positive

I pray it will all go well. Doctors, hospitals make me nervous. In Sept. I have cataract surgery. I've been thru it before but I still get anxious about it. I have white coat anxiety.

I just got surgery on my balls. Needles fricking scare me, so I had them give me some sleeping gas before they stuck the IV in my arm. I didn't feel a thing. If it's needles that scare you, just ask if you can have some sleeping gas before the IV. After a week, I felt fine. I'm glad I got the surgery and you'll be glad too I'm sure. The doctors went to medical school for a reason.

By the way, why are you not getting the surgery til September? Usually only Canadians have to wait that long to get medical attention.

Anyway, I hope all goes well.

Yeah, due to torsion. I was in more pain before the surgery actually.
