Did he end up with Chuck Cunningham and the Brady Bunch's dog Tiger? He was seen during the end credits, but for the life of me do not really recall him in too many episodes.

A while back I started a thread asking the same question. You may have to do some looking though. What I got was his name as Baby Puss, and thats all I know right now.
Good question though, because for years I have always wondered what ever happened to that cat. |

I don't remember this scene ever happening in the series, but I like the image anyway.

I guess that cat finally stayed out for the night and never came back!

In season two on the episode where they think Fred got that dina peptic germ or whatever, the cat is in that episode when Wilma is trying to feed Dino who is too sick to eat. Wilma tells Dino if he wont eat his food she'll give it to the cat. The cat then shoots out the door.

In the last scene of the Season One episode "The Snorkasaurus" (in which Fred and Barney were hunting a snorkasaurus), Betty calls the snorkasaurus "Dino." She calls Wilma and Dino answers the phone, "The Flintstones residence," like a butler. She asks for Wilma and then asks Wilma how Fred and Dino are getting along. Wilma replies that now Fred is complaining about the high cost of pet food. He was voiced--in that episode only--by Jerry Mann (imitating Phil Silvers). [In the comic- book adaptation of this episode, he was renamed "Snorky," but he was always called "Dino" on the show.] The next time that he appeared he was depicted as an animal barking like a dog (and voiced by Mel Blanc). I guess they figured they could get more mileage out of a pet that acted more like a dog than a person. A couple seasons later, though, they did introduce a talking dog, Astro on The Jetsons. Astro had a habit of putting an "R" in front of everything. Years later, Scooby-Doo had the same speech impediment. Don Messick voiced both Astro and Scooby. |

...was identified and featured in comic and coloring books as "Baby Puss" (and continued to be seen during the closing credits, where he outmanuvered Fred by putting him out for the night). During the first season of the show, Bill and Joe were still trying to work out the continuity of the characters and their surroundings. For example, they were unsure whether to identify the town the Flintstones and Rubbles lived in as "Bedrock" or "Rockville" (both were used during season one). The lodge Fred and Barney belonged to was originally "The Loyal Order of Dinosaurs"- by early 1961, it became the "Water Buffaloes"..and that stuck. Fred's job was initially at the "Rockhead and Quarry Cave Construction Company"...Mr. Slate wasn't established as Fred's boss and didn't appear until the fall of '61, and it was several episodes before they got his appearance "nailed down".
As for Dino, he already appeared as the "family pet" in early episodes. For "The Snorkasaurus Story" (January, 1961), though, H-B "fudged" his origin a little. Perhaps they were thinking of using Jerry Mann {their "utility voice" during season one, but disappeared after that season ended, never to work for Hanna-Barbera again} as Dino's voice, with his patented "Phil Silvers/Sgt. Bilko" impression. Quite possibly, Silvers himself insisted on their NOT using his voice, even though Daws Butler was using HIS variation of it as "Hokey Wolf" on "HUCKLEBERRY HOUND". In any case, they finally established Dino as a "dinosaur dog", with Mel Blanc delivering his patented dog impersonation. ![]() |

The cat makes an appearance in season 5 in the episode "Pebbles Birthday Party". In the beginning of the episode Fred's snoring is keeping everybody up including the cat (who is sleeping in Fred's bed). The cat replies "I am going to the animal shelter where a cat can get a good nights sleep".

Baby Puss only had cameo appearances in a couple of episodes although, as has been mentioned, he was in many Flintstones toy and storybooks of the era. I think H-B made a major mistake in not giving him a bigger part because he was a cool cat. Here's his wikipedia "bio" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Pu...e_Flintstones) Trivia note: Hanna-Barbera had titled one of their Tom and Jerry shorts BABY PUSS back in 1943. |
